The Eker I Run Virtual Race is an organized running event that allows registered runners to compete and experience a sense of solidarity with others while running at their chosen place and time on a self-designed course. The Virtual Race is a sports and spiritual development festival based on the honest and fair declarations of participants.
- Participants easily measure and declare their runs. Applications that can upload results include Strava, Garmin, Polar, and Decathlon Coach. However, records exported as GPX/TCX/FIT files from different devices can also be uploaded as race results.
- Applications are submitted online from October 2nd to October 15th, 2023. Runs must be completed between October 2nd and October 15th. Results must be uploaded to http://www.myvirtualpace.com/ by the evening of October 16th, 2023.
- Each participant should choose a virtual race distance that they can complete without overexerting their physical health and immune system. The Virtual Race distances are based on the Eker I Run Race and include 2K, 5K, 15K, 42K running, and 10K roller skating races.
- Participants who have read the race rules should first determine their runs with a focus on health and safety. Everyone participating in the runs should make the required measurements to the best of their abilities and participate with sportsmanship, fair play, and honesty in all matters related to the race. Participants must finish the course by running; the use of any vehicle* is prohibited, and if used, the participant will be disqualified. (*Special roller skates must be used in the roller skating race.)
- Participants who complete the courses will receive digital certificates.
- In all courses, the running time is automatically calculated as elapsed time, and rankings are based on this. Only a general classification is made for both men and women in the virtual race. Real or digital awards, trophies, or honors are not provided by the organization to those who place in the top three. If there are doubts about the running records of those in the top three, additional documentation or information may be requested.
- Engaging in behavior outside the organization's rules, violating social distancing, being in places prohibited for public health, and providing false statements are all prohibited. If these rules are violated, only the participant is responsible; the race organizing committee, supporters, and sponsors cannot be held responsible.
- Runners who provide false statements (results, times, someone else's GPS track, etc.) will not be classified or, if already classified, will be disqualified. Disqualified runners will be considered as not having completed the race and will not be eligible for draws or other benefits.
- Individuals with physical activity restrictions imposed by a doctor are advised to consult their doctors. It is not recommended for individuals with restrictions on aerobic effort, those who require constant supervision, those with epilepsy, or those with a fear of heights to participate for their own health.
- The rights to photographs, live broadcast recordings, and other images taken during the race belong to the organization, and no claims can be made for these rights.
- Runners acknowledge the right of Eker Gıda AŞ and Macera Akademisi to send informational emails and text messages about current and future events and to distribute images and results from the race on the web during the event. No personal information will be shared with other companies.
- Anyone participating in the race is considered to have accepted these rules and conditions in advance.
